From Jim: Way to go Jeff! This is Veronica and me at an Obama rally in Elko, Nevada. ---->
I met my sweetheart, Veronica, at WSU (GO COUGS) and we lived in Seattle and Bothell until recently. Ginger graduated from WSU in 2001and lives in Park City, UT. Elsbeth graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004 and remains in Tucson. I retired from The Phone Company in 2003 and we went in search of our long lost childhood. We ended up in Twin Falls, Idaho, which is not unlike Yakima was during the 1950s – four seasons and no traffic report.
We had a great time in Yakima for the 40th. The town looks good and everyone seems to have changed only for the better. Thanks to all who worked so hard to put on a terrific shindig. Hope to see you at the 45th!
All you men out there – get that prostate checked as soon as possible! The new digital exams are not nearly as bad as the old analog exams.

# Grand Children: 2 & one due in Feb.
From Ellen: 40 years...I can't say that without shaking my head..It certainly has been a journey with many ups and downs but it is good to look back and hear about friends and wonder how everyone is doing. My family and I have lived in El Cajon, Ca. for 20 years and now with grandbabies near by it looks like we will stay. The lure of Washington is great at times but living near family is more important so we will endure the "hardships" of San Diego County for awhile longer. I worked for a while as a hospice nurse but have been blessed to be able to pursue my passion of teaching children in different settings for example, after school bible clubs, etc. Right now, though, my daughter, Shelly and her family live near by and because of her being pregnant and having an 18 month old I have been on call for her. My husband, Trev is the City Traffic Engineer for El Cajon and we are active in our church. Our son, Jeff and his family live in San Francisco. He is a portfolio manager and is getting his doctorate in Statistics or Math (I think) but we see them frequently.
As for the reunion, I won't be able to attend but I promise, if alive, I will make it to the next one. I look forward to hearing about it and am so thankful to hear about you all!!! Ellen

From Gloria: Hey everyone! can't wait to see all of you! Let's party! (as well as" 50 somethings" ) can! I've been back in Yakima for about 14 years after living in Cannon Beach, Oregon and Sacramento, CA. My son and daughter (Lisa and Pat) live in Yakima, and it is wonderful to be close to them and my five grandchildren. Having been a realtor for 22+ years, I have seen the ups and downs of the economy, and look forward to relocating back to Northern California within the next 2-3 years. It is wonderful to re-connect with so many of you through this great website, and thank you to the reunion committee for making this possible! See you all soon, and to those of you who won't be joining us, have a happy healthy life! My best, Gloria

# Grand Children: 5
From Brenda: Ray and I still live in Sandy, UT and have been married for 37 years. How time flies when you are having fun! Our children range in age from 28 to 36. Our 5 grandchildren all live in our area now. My oldest son just graduated from dental school, so if you are ever passing through Utah and need a great dentist let us know. Our grandchilden range in age from 6 months to 4 years. The sweetest sound to me is, "Grandma, Grandma where are you?" Ray is still in investment real estate, and my only claim to fame is being a wife and mother and grandmother. Ray and I love to travel when we can. I do still love to decorate, garden, hang out on a great beach, eat chocolate, and shop. I can't wait to see everyone. It will be great! P.S. Since I have a 2 and 4 year old living with us for awhile I have become quite an expert on "Little Einsteins", "Scooby-Doo", "Dora and Diego", "Cars", "Over the Hedge", etc. etc. So feel free to ask me anything! The reunion was fantastic. It was so sweet to be with friends as we shared a past and as we shared with the same friends our present lives. No one cared about anything except a feeling of being accepted and loved by great friends. I missed hearing from Jan Gould Haran, Mary Mendenhall Rogers,(remember Europe the summer of 66 and B5er's forever?), Mary Holder, And many more. I did have a great talk with Mary Roddick before I came. You were all missed. Please everyone sign in and those who have, keep updating. As a babysitting Grandma I love to check this website.
Pictured above are 5 adorable grandchildren: Brandon, Jackson, Maggie, Peyton, and Kayleah showing her beautiful teeth.

Occupation: Retired
Marital Status: Married
From jan: Hi to all. I am happy to say that my husband, Art, and I retired last year and moved back to the TriCities. I had worked for the Bon Marche/Macy's for 31 years - as a Buyer, Store Manager and Regional Store Director. Art has been a Sr. Cost Estimator for several consulting firms on the Eastside. We had been living in Bellevue on Lake Washington for the last 22 yrs.
We made the big decision to retire and move back to the sun .....tired of the traffic and the rain! It has been an adjustment, but we're loving every minute of it. Both of us are working with some community groups here in Richland, Habitat and enjoying lots of travel. We just bought a new 5th wheel trailer and are actually out on the road now.
We wish you a wonderful reunion and a wonderful life. Hope to see you out on the road. jan findley jones

# Grand Children: 5
From Kinsley: I'm currently living in Dallas, Texas with Barbara Ann, my wife of 31 years. I've been fortunate to live all over the country in the years since 1967, and to travel the world in the course of my work (still haven't been to Antarctica yet, though). We have two sons who live in the Chicago area and two daughters, one in Camas, Washington and one in La Grande, Oregon. As you can imagine, family get-togethers take some planning and effort! I'm grateful to the person who invented frequent flyer miles. My first career was in the broadcast industry as a radio and televison announcer and newsman. Then, I moved into engineering, which somehow morphed into a management career in telecommunications infrastructure. Two years ago, I became a partner in a Dallas consulting firm that provides management and financial services to investors and businesses of all kinds. There are new things to do and to learn every day.

Occupation: Retired, USFS Fire
Management
Marital Status: Married
From Tom: I met my wife Barbara during my eary days working for the Forest Service on the Naches Ranger District. She was the lookout on Little Bald Mountain which happend to be on my fire prevention patrol route. We spent the next 32 years living and working at various locations around Washington and Oregon. After retirement we returned to Central Washington to live in Ellensburg. I keep busy flying and tinkering on my airplane, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing and rediscovering the mountains and lakes around the Yakima Valley. I hope to make it to the reunion. It will depend on how the fire season goes this summer. The Forest service still calls me back to help out when things heat up. I like to do it because it keeps me fit and buys some steak to go along with the beans my retirement buys.

Occupation: Librarian
Marital Status: Married
No. of Children: 2
From Kay: We moved to Cheney in May of 2003 and downsized big time. I still continue to work at a small Christian school as their Librarian and love working with the kids and friends.
Our son, Andy, is 32 years old and lives and works in NW Arkansas. Our daughter, Ginger, is 30 years old and lives and works in Spokane. We have a 4 year old granddaughter and 3 step-grandchildren, all boys! My husband, Mike, is retired after working 20 years in the agricultural field as a government employee and also, he is retired from the Air National Guard after 20 years. He now drives bus for the Cheney School district.
We enjoy spending time in our motorhome beside a quiet lake, if we can. We kayak, walk, do some bicycling and hiking and READ, of course!
My parents are still living in Yakima so I do make it to back to the area on a regular basis. There have been many changes in Yakima in 40 years! I'm glad Eisenhower H.S. is still standing and looks somewhat the same.
Hope to make it to the 50th reunion in 2017! Have lots of fun at the 40th!
