HI!  Jim and I have been enjoying our semi-retirement. I work at the best place 3 days a week as a pharmacy tech.  Learn alot and enjoy what I do, what more could you ask for? Well I guess just one thing and that would be to live closer to our 2 Grandbabies who are in Arizona. Kaelyn is  2 1/2 years and is in the picture with Jim in his site. I have Tyler whom is now 8 months but is newborn in this picture. It's so much fun being a grandparent! We have been so lucky to see them about every 3-4  months.             I still play organized tennis weekly until the snow flies!  I have been making scrapbooks of the grandbabies First year . It takes alot of time and money but sure worth it! We still enjoy camping (in our camper) and boating. Just got back from Lake Chalen and put around 100 miles on the new motor.  Life is good ! Hope all is going good for you too.  Sorry that plans for the Alaskan  cruise were  made at the same time as the reunion and we will miss it and seeing all of you!

More than a little late - thanks Ken for finally tracking me down!  I have loved each 10 year reunion and look forward to the 40th.  I am still an attorney, living in Denver, specializing in telecommunication law, now with Davis Wright Tremaine after the merger of my Washington DC based law firm with DWT in January.  I have two spectacular sons, 22 and 26, who have been and will always be the lights of my life.  Erik is an actor in Chicago, Northwestern graduate, just shot his first film - Batman 4 - small role but a good start!  He is mostly a stage actor, however, and just got rave reviews in both the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun for his role in Arcadia at the Court Theatre.  Reid is in college  in Denver and interested in Chinese, astronomy or chemistry - depending on the day.  I never know where his journey will take him but I do know that he is a gift to everyone who meets him.   I am president of a non-profit performing arts organization, Stories on Stage - a marvelous combination of my passions for literature and theater.  I love to snow shoe, hike and bike - skiing has had to give way after four knee surgeries.  This year's achievement was hiking the Grand Canyon - down and up from the South Rim and a night at Phantom Ranch.  I have started to spend summers on Vashon Island where my parents built their retirement home in the late 70's.  It means that I spend the summers gardening - trying to stay ahead of the jungle.  But the view of the Puget Sound at the end of a day makes it all worthwhile.

Wow~it has been a ride. I live in Lakewood, WA. I am a property Manager and work for a gym called Vital Fitness! I live with my sister Rita and attend Champion Centre Church, which serves to remind me there is a God who is Merciful. He has saved me from a terminal diagnosis in 1998, from myself, and from success on stilts. LOL I am content. I live in a "Doll House" apartment and love both of my jobs. I recently ended an engagement so I am sad but am very sure it needed to end. Life is one great lesson after another and I am becoming a little better student as time passes by. I have 2 incredible adult children, Krista, 33 and Paul 20. I studied Theology which is still my passion and currently turning the corner to still another new beginning. I wish I could be there will all of you, I really do. It would be great fun to see faces I haven't seen in years.  Blessings and I will see you on our 50th (God Willing).

From David:
I never realized how beautiful the Yakmia Valley was until I left and traveled to the industrial wasteland of the MidWest. I attended General Motors Institute, an all male  college that offered a Coop work/study program for future automotive engineers. Ranked in the top five engineering schools in the nation, every class was like walking into Stu's AP Math class and having, not one, but five Kristy Simonsons setting the curve.
My wife (Vickie) is a Flintite. We met at a wedding reception and found out we lived in the same trailer park. We were married in 1972, the same year I graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and started full time at AC Spark Plug, a division of General Motors. My main focus was manufaturing processes and equipment and I had the opportunity to work on Spark Plugs, Instrument Panels, Fuel Pumps, Air Cleaners, Oil Filters, and Air Meters.
In 1983 I got a MBA from the Univ. of Michigan and was promoted into Engineering management. I served a one year stint as an Executive on Loan to the Flint Area Focus Council, an economic development oversight activity in the Tri-County area.
I returned to Delphi (we had about six name changes over the years) and directed the development of manufacturing processes and equipment for Catalytic Converters. We transformed our plants from highly automated manufacturing lines to lean, agile manual work cells. In my 12 year tenure we built plants in Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, and India.
I spent the last three years as Chief Engineer of Induction Systems before retiring in Dec. 2003.
I worked for three months, until they named my replacement, and then returned in September to work on a special Fuel Systems project (can you say THERMAL INCIDENT!). I retired again in June 2005, but was back for another project until this Spring when I finally had enough.
The American auto industry has taken a brutal beating and the auto parts manufacturers, in particular, will never recover their past glory. I truly feel blessed that I lived and worked through the heyday and am glad to move on to new adventures.
So, after 39 years with GM/Delphi I retired for the third time and went to work for a friend, managing his retail computer store until Sept.2008. Now I work at our Ebay facility where we process and sell about 300 laptops a week.
Our eldest granddaughter (17) is living with us and keeping Vickie and I young. We are very active in our church, sing in the choir, and enjoy camping in our new fifth-wheel. Seven years ago I was out of town and Vickie went to an estate auction and bought the "house of her dreams." We had to repaint and redecorate every room in the "house of my nightmares" but now I love it. We have our own private park with four acres of trees and grass. The "main" house has a "West Wing", finished basement, and two 14' x 28' bedrooms upstairs. The original home is situated at the back of the property but will require a significant renovation before visitors are welcome (so call ahead.)
I was unable to attend the reunion but enjoy the writeups on this website. deh

Gerry Hart (Davis class of '67) and I have been married for nearly 33 years and have two fun, grown children and 1 little red-haired grandson.  I retired from my position as a nurse manager at Swedish Hospital 2 1/2 years ago.  Gerry will work for another year or two, but early retirement has always been in the plan for both of us.  Life is great and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing so many of my old classmates at the Reunion!

From Terry:
As the great American philosopher/statesman Jerry Garcia observed:  "What a long strange trip its been."

Linda and I live on a farm in Grant County near the Vernita Bridge.  Two stepsons, two grandchildren, two dogs, and 11 cars- 2 of which are drivable.  I just can't discard anything, and the place is slowly filling up with dead cars, useless stuff I bought at auction, etc.  The good news is that the booming Asian economy has driven up the price of scrap metal, so I may be able to sell it all off by the pound.  I try to get Linda to think of it as an investment, but I don't think she's buying it.

I retired from Bonneville Power Administration in 2004.  During my 30 years with BPA I worked on the construction and maintenance of high voltage electrical substations.

For the past year I have been trying to build a house, and am just now coming to appreciate the full scope of my incompetence at basic craft work.

best wishes,

Terry Hastings

Hard to put 40 years in one paragraph!  I am working @ a family planning clinic in a DSHS
office and also work as a R.N. for a hospital
based First Steps program. My husband does
mediations, stocks and teaches speech part
time. My 22 y.o. son just finished a video production course in Burbank so needs a job!! Phil is 32 and lives in Spokane. I've been going to Yakima every other weekend as my Mom is in poor health.
We have been trying to travel more as need to
get going while we can still climb a hill or two.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the
