From Tim:
I'm the proud parent of three great kids that have made their way through college.  Brett, my oldest, is a Wazzu grad with a EE in computer science and currently programs for the Bank of America after a stint with Microsoft and our own Spokane broadcast group.  Jeff, "the middle one", an SCC grad now living in Boise, is a design and marketing rep for a Seattle-based manufacturing automation company.  My daughter, Kirsten, graduated with honors from EWU with dual masters degrees in business and math.   Mimi's daughter, Amy, is now living in north Seattle, and works for Nordstroms whereas her son, Brad, is hanging back in Chicago and looking forward to his own wedding this fall.   Mimi and I are now making our home in the Spokane Valley.  We really enjoyed the reunion at the Club.  What a beautiful evening.  Thanks to all who helped make this gathering such a success.
Take Care,      Tim and Mimi.

From Dan:

It does not seem possible we are having a 40 year reunion! Where have 20 years gone? (That was the last reunion I attended). After graduating from Ike I hung around Yakima for a year waiting for my high school sweetheart to graduate from Ike in 68. We got married in August of that year and moved to the Seattle area where I worked at Boeing. We never got too far away from Yakima over the past 40 years. We moved from Everett to Longview to Beaverton Ore, to Yakima and then to Kennewick where we have made our permanent home. We raised 2 sons, Brian who is 37 and Brad who is 35. Brian teaches Math at Richland high school and is a wrestling and baseball coach. Brad has made his home in the New Orleans area where he currently builds and restores boats that have been damaged in Katrina. He likes it there very much. Brian has one daughter, Sierra who is 10. Brad has four children from the ages 5 - 12. I have been in sales all these years and my wife Marilyn has been a daycare provider for children and is currently working with patients who suffer from Alzheimers disease. We will be celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary in August. (Yes Shaunna (Potter/Kobes), you and Jerry still win!) Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Time marches on.  My husband Ron and I will celebrate our 37th  anniversary in September.  We have two daughters and four wonderful grandchildren.  The downside is they live in Washington, D.C. and Brighton, England. Can you say "frequent flyer miles"? My husband began in California workers' compensation in 1972 but didn't manage to drag me in until 1990.  Somehow I thought I would have been on a career path prior to turning 40.  I currently work for a Risk Management Consulting Firm.  Just about the time I thought things would slow down, this opportunity came along and I jumped at it.  The company is in the process of spreading its wings nationally so every day is an adventure.  I'll have to see what I can manage with the "photo section" so stay tuned.

From Tom:
I like the rhythm of this thing.  Every ten years the gravity of friendship and memories pulls many of us back together, and we get a view of how the future is playing out for those fresh yearbook faces.  We stop the show for an evening and catch up.

I spent about three years in Norway in the mid-70s, came back and went to law school, and now am in private practice in Olympia, representing mostly municipalities and environmental groups.  Climbing has given way to hiking, although, joints willing, there will be some more of the former, too.  About four years ago, I put my college girlfriend's name into Google and, after a bit of searching, made contact.  We're now engaged, and she has moved to Olympia.  Thank you Gary, Jim, Phil and anyone else who ever worked on computers.

Hi everyone,  Bob and I are still on Whidbey, doing the notecard & art business. I love to read, garden, cook, knit, walk our dogs and wonder (briefly) what it would be like to rock climb or hang glide. 3 years ago we bought  property in B.C. and are now putting a couple small cabins on it. Bob has spent many good and productive hours up there doing a great job as the builder/contractor and really enjoying it. I go when I can and, so far, my most creative addition to the project has been to dig the 4x4x4' pit for our outhouse. (although this was a wasted effort since I soon discovered how really cool composting toilets are)  It's so beautiful and PEACEFUL there we find it really hard to come back to reality. Bob will be working a summer market we do in Philadelphia the weekend of the reunion but was great enough to let me skip work so I get to see all my old pals. I will be bringing one of these old pals (well not THAT old...) as my date: Sandy Ford! So we'll see you all next weekend!

I'm still a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines (38 years & counting...I don't see retirement in my near future since I still enjoy my job)  I fly mostly to Asia but once in awhile I find myself headed to Amsterdam,  although its harder to adjust to the time change in Europe than in Asia (especially as time marches on...)  Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!!

It has been awhile since our reunion and I planned to share my story about what has happened since high school.  Jim and I got married before he graduated from college.  He graduated from Central, then eventually joined the Army.  I didn't graduate until my late 30s, after we had already been stationed in several states, but did graduate magnum cum laude.  I guess I am still proud of that, since it was difficult with our moving.  We ended up moving a lot throughout his career in the Army.  We were stationed in Washington, Virginia, Alabama, Texas, Kansas, California, plus some unaccompanied time when we were separated.  Overseas we were stationed in Germany in two places, and in Australia.  Australia was interesting because I was working as the Personal Assistant to the Area Commander, Commandant of the School of Armour, and the Director of the Armoured Corps.  Jim was there as an exchange officer, and there were only two American families, so my accent stood out.  But I enjoyed the tour.  Besides other jobs, I worked in hospitals in Texas and Kansas, and now work in a medical clinic.  I am a transcription coordinator for Kitsap Mental Health, where we have many psychiatrists and an Internal Medicine doctor as well.  Jim has been talking about retirement, and will probably retire before me.  He is working at the college.  I also taught at the college for three years.  Jim and I have two sons and a daughter.  I am so lucky to have such nice kids and my favorite time is having the kids around, playing games, or visiting.  I have two grandsons and will be having a granddaughter soon!  I don't feel old enough to have grandchildren.  How did the time fly so fast!

This is a current photo of my husband, Jim, and me.  I am the Director of Visual and Performing Arts for San Diego Unified School District, the second largest school district in California.  As if I don't have enough to do, I have decided to go back to university and complete my doctorate in Education Leadership after a 10 year hiatus.

Jim is retired but has his own DJ business, is a DJ for Hornblower Cruises and a docent for the Maritime Museum.  I still play viola professionally as time allows.  Jim plays guitar, flute, sax, piano and sings.

I look forward to seeing friends at the reunion.
