I found myself on the "Missing Cadets" page! I'm not missing, I moved from Seattle to Vancouver, WA about 3 years ago. I'm now retired from public library management and find myself widowed at age 59. I'm heading to Europe to do some work for Habitat for Humanity in September. This website is fantastic. Kudos to the Webmaster!

Hi,
I currently live in Centerville, Utah, a little town just north of Salt Lake. I love the passion I feel for so many things. Life holds so many things if we just take the time to stop and experience instead of letting life pass by. My life is currently made of up work (I travel a lot), taking care of my mom (who lives with me), being involved with the family I have around me, enjoying this beautiful world. I love to ride my scooter, take off on my atv, ride my mountian bike in some incredibly beautiful places. The thing that I will regret the most is not having children of my own.

As Mark Twain once said, "Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated." I'm alive and living in Moses Lake. I was married to the love of my life, Bob Jamison, for the past 32 years. He passed away last July from brain cancer. We have one son , Joe (24) who is off in Spain exploring for a month. The reason I haven't attended any reunions is because I never heard about them! Hopefully, now I'll make the list. Hi to all friends.

I must admit that I have not been checking out this website on a regular basis but I am glad that others have. I thought i would skim through the pictures and invite my friends (okay...my FRIEND) to join the move to Facebook. For a computer geek I am sadly behind the virtual friend trend but catching up quickly. My granddaughter invited two friends to the hockey game and the three sat side by side texting each other. We had to walk (WALK?) over to our friend's house to see what they were up to. btw (by the way in TextSpeak) We did our part to help the economy and bought a new Chevy Traverse yesterday. BUY AMERICAN ! just david

A poem not by me......was originally for Montana but I think it would be OK for Utah too.
It's winter in Idaho
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
at twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love Idaho
when the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
and your nose gets frozen shut
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Idaho
Cause I'm frozen to the ground.

Surprised to find that I was missing but really I am here after all. I am living in Bellingham, retired since '99 from Air Traffic Control. (you know...picked a hell of a day to stop sniffing glue!) I stay active in many ways including hiking, kayaking, bicycling. I have been a friend of Bill W's since 1985 and that has been key to my life. I hope to catch up some of the old gang I have seen on this site and a rapidly expanding crowd of Ike Grads on Facebook.

A treat for me this summer as I returned to Yakima for four days to attend the "Valued Lives Conference" at the Convention Center. I was impressed with all the new buildings and a revitalization of the downtown area. I was also very happy to see my friends, Rick Fairbrook and Charlie Gilmore, as they were at the center for a luncheon/meeting.
Happy Holidays to eveyone!

Hello Brenda - I'm going out on a limb and guess that this is Brenda the singer, who starred in Funny Girl? If so, I lived two doors down from you on Richey Road, and played in the orchestra for that show. Too long a story to tell here, but Barbara and I have landed back in the northwest, where I teach at Lewis & Clark College's Music Department. Hope you and yours are well and prosperous! - George Skipworth

I would love to see all of the other grandchildren out there. I know Jim will help you post them. So please, please, please let's see all of those precious faces! They are all alot better looking than all of us are. So please share! Thanks, Brenda

Hi all, Well, I just met for lunch a few weeks ago with Mary Holder, Kitty Rutter, and Mary Roddick. We went to Mary Roddick's house. It was so much fun. I took some pictures before we left and will post them later. I swear Kitty and I look like sisters so you really won't be able to tell which one is which. Of course, I am the crazier of the two of us; and Mary and Mary are the two tall ones. I plan to meet with one of the Mary's and we will decide which pictures if any to post in this guest book or photo album. I may have to ask Jim Hoggart for help again or perhaps David or one of you other computer gurus!
Summer is flying past and it seems to have gone by too quickly. I now have another grandchild, this time a little girl. She is almost 5 months old now. My two grandsons are 2 and 5 years. Hard to believe how quickly they grow up. Brenda, I have been thinking of your tiny granddaughter and all of the worries you must be going through, but am sure she is bringing you a lot of joy and hope. Please know, Mary, Mary, and Kitty and I all were thinking about you when we visited last month and hope you got our phone message.
Norm, you still haven't taken me up on the wish for a poem. Sigh. That is okay. Perhaps I will see you at the next reunion.
Bruce, I want to thank you for being my dinner partner at the reunion. All of those fly guys we knew in the military were such fun. I still see a lot of the military guys around here and have such a soft spot for them, knowing what they are going through in this time of war. I enjoyed traveling with Jim on all of our duty stations. I enjoyed serving as a military wife and felt I was supporting our country during those times. Perhaps that is why I still go on the navy bases around here, use the swimming pool, and see the soldiers. I think it is a different kind of camraderie that you get with the military that you don't get any other place, but perhaps I could be wrong.
Mark, I am still impressed with all of the work you do to support those in need.
Well, I have written more than I planned to write, but I can't believe another year has passed and hope I am able to attend the next reunion in four years. Terri

It was great hearing from Dick. He and I emailed back and forth and he told me he may come to Utah this year sometime. We will try to meet for lunch and get Bruce Crimin to come along, If anyone else comes through here give me a call and I would love to meet up. I have offered this to Rick and Ken over the years but so far no one has taken me up. So here is an open invite. I know Jim H. is coming too, but I don't do the Salt Flats races. Sorry Jim! By the way, I hope you finished your poem with "hugs". "Hugs rhrymes so well with "bugs". Have you won any awards yet? Okay, okay, I'll stop. As many times as I have written in this guest book it may come as a surprise to anyone who reads this that I do have a life. I answer to "Grandma" now to 6 grandchildren , 7 by January . This guest book is a nice diversion! See you in four! Brenda

Brenda, I also read the guest book and enjoy your entries. Jim, I envy your retirement. As noted before by Terri Miller she and I met for lunch and caught up on old times. The reunion gave us the opportunity to see each other after many years. My mom and I also had a treat this summer as we visited Madie Gustafason at her Vashon Island summer home. It was the first time my mother had seen Madie in 41 years. Take care everyone looking forward to 2012.

Oh, Brenda! You know that Gary and I (at the very least) check out this site regularly. Even more so now that I've re-retired - so don't go asking me to install any window blinds. I've been working on my own poem, but haven't completed it yet - maybe you could help: My roses are red, And all covered with bugs, I love reunions 'Cuz of all the ______. ... Veronica and I just spent a few days in Las Vegas to celebrate our 35th, beautiful but very hot! I bet lots of our classmates are creeping up to their 40ths. Love to hear something from everyone. Jim PS If anyone is going to Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats this year, send me a note. Maybe we can hook up. I won't be racing, just watching!

I am so glad to hear an update from Terri. I would love to have another poem from Norman also. The greatest thing for me in this last year is that I have a new granddaughter. She was born June 13th. Nine weeks early. She is still in the Nicu at the University of Utah Hospital. She weighed 3 lbs and 5 oz then, but she weighs just 5 lbs now. She has a heart problem but she is a fighter. Her name is Maizy. We call her Amazing Maizy. Keep the new updates coming from all of you. If we wait 4 years to see each other we can at least sign the guest book and say Hi! Love to all!

I was back in Yakima for the 4th of July. Things are changing there. No longer is the Dairy Queen open on Summitview and 36th, but we did get ice cream down on Summitview near 11th or so. My family always used to walk to Dairy Queen when my parents lived on Yakima Ave when we would come to visit. After my mom moved to the retirement apartments we were still within walking distance of the Dairy Queen. Sigh.
However, the Central Washington Fairgrounds put on a fantastic celebration for the 4th. Jim and I went over with my mom, my daughter and her husband, and with my two grandsons, and we enjoyed the time spent there. They had live music and comedians on stage and everyone sitting in the grass in front of them. There were rides, and my grandson loved them all. My smaller grandson went on his first carousel and it was a big event for him. I went with him, and he held on tight. At first he wanted to get off. Afterwards his eyes were very big and I asked him if he had fun, and he said yes.
I wrote to Norm and asked him to write another poem, but he hasn't done it yet. Perhaps he needs to here from more of you.
I met Dick Duncan for lunch since he was in my neck of the woods for work purposes. It was great to catch up with him. Seems like most of ya'll went to Wilson, and Dick and I went to Franklin.
Best wishes to you all and I hope you are having a nice summer.
Terri

Semi-annual Update from Michigan: go RED WINGS!! I don't suppose that hockey is of much interest to Yakimites but it is BIG in the MidWest. Our local team bite the ice early but we got to go along for the ride with the Wings to the Stanley Cup. Vickie and I were granted guardianship of our 16 year old grand daughter this Spring. She has been living with us on and off for three years so we made it official. Quite a smart-ass (I wonder who she inherited that from ?) and very pretty. Struggles in school so I am back to doing homework every night. We went to Wash.DC in June for our church's General Assembly meetings. The Capital Mall is a little disappointing. You have visions of a crystal clear reflection pond but reality is that there is ducks and geese poop all over the place. Our daughter and family just moved to the DC area so we got to see their new house. Lots of houses for sale but VERY expensive. Don't understand the concept of Supply and Demand. They looked at repo houses that had been trashed, and they still wanted $500k for a fixer-upper. Well, that about brings things up to date. If any of you are planning to visit the Detroit area - WHY? (j/k - look us up in the Flint phone book!) david haney

I haven't written for a long time, but wanted to share. Since our reunion I have been in contact with Mary Holder and Kitty Rutter, and we finally all met for lunch a few weeks ago. It took quite awhile to organize just getting the three of us together. We were planning to have Mary Roddick join us too, but after much wrangling, we were unable to arrange it. It was so nice to be able to get together and share our stories. I hadn't seen Kitty Rutter since high school. Kitty and I are still both working, but Mary is now retired. I actually knew Mary as a small child, I think first in Sunday School! Anyway, I wanted to share that they both look great and are in the greater Seattle area. I'm over in the Kitsap Peninsula, but took the ferry over to meet them at Bellevue Square.
Maybe next time we will meet with Mary Roddick too. If any of you would like to join us, please contact me. I talked with Ellen Broadbent and Carla Laughlin at the reunion about meeting, but never did end up with their contact info. Terri

Just checking in from Michigan. At least the SeaHawks made the playoffs - the Lions are also rans again this year. I am having to change my email contact - too much porn coming into my other address and I don't want to share! Spent Christmas in Texas hill country, colder there than at home, with my brother and family. I can't tell you how invigorating this site is for someone who left town at 18. In spite of the pictures I still see you all as the Seniors I graduated with and it brings back a lot of fond memories of events and people. Thank you all for contributing time and effort to keep the site viable since the reunion. One suggestion; it has become common in our area to combine reunions with the class before and after. This way you get a three year run at seeing old friends from several classes. The primary class plans the event and the other classes are "visitors" at one or more of the events. Thanks to Dave Miller and Kristy Larson for our side bar discussions. just dehaney

Hi Jim, and Brenda, and Rick,
I check this every week, so now there are at least four of us reading this.
I have a tribute to another classmate. Bob Blumhagen (Ike 68) had a stroke a couple weeks ago. I went with Francy to visit him last week at Swedish Hospital. I was very impressed with Bob – in spite of this horrible thing that just happened to him, he still has a great sense of humor. I am also very impressed with Francy (Kling, Ike 67). She showed me a grace and a courage, that will stand both of them in good stead in the coming weeks. Having been there, I remember what a wonderful thing it was to have Chardell with me every step of the way, taking care of me, and asking all the right questions.
Francy is moving Bob to Yakima on Monday (11/19) to the Garden Village. She hopes lots of friends will come visit and tell him a joke or a story. They might want to call his sister Dianne first to see which days would be best. (509-469-6909).

One week before our reunion I accompanied my wife to her 40th reunion at Twin Falls High School. It was different, but the same. On Saturday night I met old friends which I'd first met only the night before. One of her classmates, Paul Emerson, is the Editor of the Lewiston Tribune. He wrote a very good article for his paper about his experience. I'd like to share it with you. Please go to this site's MESSAGE BOARD tab, at left, and look under POST REUNION COMMENTS.
PS - Rick Floren, my old wrestling buddy in PE - I'm sorry our paths didn't cross at the reunion. Let me know what you're up to - Jim

I have just had a chance to look at the great pictures of the reunion festivities. Thanks for adding them to the website. For those of us that couldn't make the trip it is fun to "see" old friends. I was pleasently surprised at how many of you haven't changed "a bit". Okay, a little grey or white on top (or none).

I just want to add my thanks for just a great Reunion and especially for this website that allows us to connect with fellow classmates. It was so great to see everyone, I can't wait to do it again. Thanks again to Jim Klavano and his beautiful wife Barbara for giving me a ride to Yakima. Feel free to send me a note anytime you'd like.

Thanks so much for posting such wonderful pictures on the website. It was great to be able to see how people have changed, and yet stayed so much like they were. Wish I could have been there, but this just wasn't the year. I sure thought about you all weekend. It looked like you had a great time!

I am SO sorry i wasn't able to see you all! Had a really bad reaction to some new meds, and it would not have been a pretty sight! I thought about all of you for the whole weekend, and am so sorry I could not be there! Please stay in touch, even though I live in Yak, I very rarely see any of you "locals"!The pics confirm what I was thinking, all of you are still "FAB", and bring back the good ol' days". Geez, are we really over 40?

Thank you so much to the Reunion Committee. You did such a great job! It was great to see all of my classmates, and hard to believe so many years have gone by. What fun to see what how the years have passed and yet the memories come flooding back. I am also really impressed by the website that was done. I am hoping to be able to spend more time perusing it and will try to get a current picture downloaded to post.
Again, thank you for all of the organization for this event. It was such fun.

Sincere thanks to all of you on the Reunion Committee for doing such a superb job of organizing last weekend's events as well as setting up this web site. It was wonderful to get to see so many - don't take this the wrong way - old familiar faces! I somehow missed out on seeing Lee do the "gator" and I didn't get a chance to say hi to everyone I wanted to...plenty left for the next reunion. Hope even more of you can make it next time - you were missed!

Hi again to the Class of 67.
What a great time - it's taken a couple of days to get the grin off my face from seeing so many old friends. There is something special about seeing so many people who you need no introduction to.
I heard so many of you say that this was the best reunion yet, and I have to agree.
I've followed Jim Hoggat's request and posted the pictures that I took Saturday night. Thanks to Jim for getting these photo albums set up. I hope that we continue to use this website to keep in touch. We plan to keep it up for the next 10 years, so if you move, you've got a place to keep us posted on where you are.
Let's do this again!

Wow! What a blast that reunion was. Everyone has changed somewhat - but only for the better, I think! It was fun to meet new people that I never connected with in high school plus spouses, fiancees, sisters (Susannah!) and significant others. I saw lots of people there with cameras, too, so now it's your DUTY to let us all see how much fun we really had. You can upload your own pictures on the PHOTO ALBUMS tab or you can send them to me and I'll post them for you. Also, if you haven't listed yourself on the CLASSMATES tab, it's never too late. If you need any help let me know. You are all a terrific bunch and I'm proud to be part of IKE's Class of '67.

What a marvelous, memorable moment in time this reunion committee put together. Thank you so much for all of your work. It was such a great time for all of us.
Ron Olsen you are an angel! Gary and Norm you are awesome, talented and so lovable to everyone. Susan it was so great to reconnect with you and thanks for our talk. Ken, Susan, Pat and all the girls thanks for the dance. Maybe we were 18 for a moment again!
Rick, thank you so much for singing with me from Funny Girl. I use the word singing loosley for me but you still have a great voice. It was great fun and thanks to Gay and Ray for being such great sports and the crowd for putting up with us. I am so sorry I messed up, I knew my mind would go blank as it did. It must be all the years of bleaching my hair. Gay you are so talented and kept us going.
Phil, the offer is always open to grandma babysit your beautiful little girl!
Love to you all. I wish I could mention everyone by name. Thank you for being such a blessed part of my life.

Dittos to what Susan said about the reunion. If her dancing was any indication, she had a great time. But speaking of dancing, Lee J (Fortier) won my vote for most courageous dancer as he hit the floor doing a "gator". The most impressive part was that he was able to get up!! Go Lee!! G Paine leading Love Potion #9 got everyone in the act. I loved being a part of the kazoo section. After working on this for the last 5 months the actual event comes and goes so quickly. For a brief moment in time we are able to see and reconnect with people we knew 40 years ago. We came together, said how are you and what are doing over a couple of beers or wine; we hugged the women AND men, shared stories and poof it's all over! We return to our own lives as if it never happened, but buoyed by an afterglow that makes us smile and remember. Thank you to everyone who came.

I will be the first to say that I had a blast both nights! I agree this was the best reunion ever! All of you who missed the events, and you know who you are (especially those of you living in Yakima) really missed the boat! Terry Anderson seems to be living on one lately!!! Jimmy Thompson and I have called a truce, Ellen Broadbent sat next to me for about 30 before recognizing me, Bobbi and I filled on blank spots for each other. Brenda thanks for the Bye Bye Birdie pics and hugs and so on . Thanks to everyone who danced with me! We can't wait another 10 years we might not be able to dance!!! I am so happy to have seen you all . We look better!

Since there isn't a planned picnic this year I just had this crazy thought to extend an invitation to anyone who wants to meet up with classmates between 12 and 2:30 on Saturday for a poolside barbecue at my home. Bring something to barbecue, swim suit (it's supposed to be warm) I'll provide the beverages, chips, and table ware. For those who were in Funny Girl, I will have a CD of the musical so you can listen for yourself or sing a long. Bocchi ball for the sports minded. 616 Voltaire Ave. which is where 33rd and Tieton would be. If there isn't any street parking available, Nob Hill School is about a block away on 32nd Ave. Questions? Call 509-728-3665. I know there is lot to do in Yakima this weekend but you are welcome to drop in, drop by or stay for the duration.

A couple entries ago, I sent in a tribute to Aaron, who still owns the school record in the shot put. I listed a bunch of guys who set school records, but I inadvertently left off the mile relay team, which included Jim Klavano and Steve Schroeder. I apologize, Jim and Steve. I think a school record is a pretty impressive thing. I am still blown away by Aaron having one forty years later.

Chris Lewis, I do not see your name on the list of those signed up for the reunion.
I know you are in the Seattle area and even have lunch from time to time with some of your friends who are coming. Where are you? I figure you owe me to come to this reunion because I still remember I asked you to go to a girl's choice dance. I think we were seniors.
I think I even told you we wouldn't have to dance we could just hang out and have fun. We could fast dance of course.
You, however, turned me down. I think my 6'1'' height terrified you. So hey, I still have not forgotten that and figure you lost your chance 40 years ago. So at
least come to the reunion so I am not devasted for life. Everyone else wants to see you too. We did have the Funny Girl cast party at your house! So if you ever check the website, come on!

TRIBUTE TO A CLASSMATE
Eisenhower High School turned fifty this year. My family moved to Yakima in 1957, and Dad started teaching physics at a brand new high school that year. I was in Yakima last week and I went over to Ike and took a stroll down memory lane.
In the lobby of the gym, there’s a trophy case that has all the school records in track and field. There were a couple hurdlers who came before us, but all the other school records were set in the last forty years. Near the bottom of the list is the name of a classmate: Aaron Davenport, 1967, shot put, 56 feet 8 inches. Our annual mentions school records by Aaron, Tom Amos, Bob Cooper, Dick Duncan, Marty Penhallegon, and Kim Rogers. Aaron’s is still there, forty years later. I’ve never heard Aaron mention this, and it is too bad he will be off fishing in Alaska and miss this reunion. This is an impressive feat that deserves a little recognition: No one in the fifty year existence of Eisenhower High School, threw the shot further than Aaron Davenport did.

Dear Brenda,
Hello I am here. Looking in. Tapping on the window glass.
Thank you for looking my way and smiling, your thoughts and words spin true.
I too embrace each day with some hesitation. We may wish to pause our everyday lives to surround ourselves with friends once familiar and memories clear enough to touch what fits.
We may chuckle at our comedies and dramas as we reflect in our own mirrors as tears and cheers stare back into so much that is good.

Sure, Tom, there'll be name tags. In fact, an example of YOUR name tag is on the "Asstd 1967 Pics" tab (see left). The only way to refute it is to put your blurb in the Classmates tab.
By the way, the name tags will probably be stick-ons, so if you don't want your Tux ruined, you'd better bring a couple little magnets.
I still remember the image of you walking towards Rogers Hall (WSU, 13 stories) with a large coil of rope over your shoulder. You looked like you were going to climb up the outside! I miss those days. See you ALL in Yakima.

Hello everybody. What a wonderful way to have some contact before the reunion.
I was wondering earlier this year whether we would have a reunion and got to thinking about those years. It struck me that for the six years of junior and senior high, I probably spent more time with our class than with family during school days. I expect that's true of most of us. A potent time, transforming from children just out of grade school to 17 and 18 year-olds ready to get it all started. We navigated those passages with each other. Like the long walk across the gym floor to ask a girl to dance, utterly alone, knowing everybody's watching, might as well be a spotlight on you, doom hanging in the air, closer, can't turn back now, and then the magic "OK" or "Sure" and, if the stars were right, slow dance music.
Anyway, there's a connection with childhood classmates that's not quite the same as anything else. Enough to make one shrug off the awkwardness of approaching a group of seeming total strangers with familiar names on their tags.
We are going to have name tags, right?
See you in Yakima.

Good to hear from all of you. Great work committee members! It is hard to believe 40 years since graduating! Time does fly. Dennis and I will be celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary in August. Life is GOOD - we have 2 successful children and 2 very special granddaughters. Both our children just recently bought brand new houses close to each other in the same West Valley neighborhood! So, when Dennis and I decide to downsize, we know where we will be looking. I've worked for the State of WA/DSHS for going on my 37th year! (Administrative Assistant) Not ready to retire just yet. I can really appreciate Gary Paine's list of Yakima landmarks. I've been in Michigan for 40 years and Yakima is still "Home". I just got a message from Jim Thompson; wow, what a blast from the past - Summer Church Camp at Gormley, sneaking out of Sunday School to look at used cars.
When I came to Michigan I found out that only plant foreman wore "White Socks", and learned the hard way theat they didn't have free right turns on red. EVERYBODY bowls and plays softball, Coney Island restaurants are on every corner (across from the bar) and they are open all night. And then there are the Yoppers (a breed of half-men that lives North of "The Bridge". ) Yes, Michigan is like a foreign country but you don't need a passport to visit.
I have enjoyed hearing from youse-guys (Michiganese). God Bless, deh

Hey fellow cohorts! Wow, this is an eye opener reading all the entries from the amazing people from the "Class of '67"!Believe it or not, I was married to Bill Shields for 17 years, and then we grew up! Two fantastic children who are extremely successful, but most off all, they are really nice people! Couldn't be more proud of them and my 5 grandchildren! I have been a realtor for 22+ years, back in Yakima for 14 years, and am feeling the effects of skiing, tennis, and softball!in my earlier times! How exciting it will be to relive some of the best times of my life with you! (I am not above blackmail, nor am I averse to bribes)! I will be attending the Friday night event, not sure about Saturday, but will try! It is reassuring to see that our class represents all walks of life, and so many that have achieved their goals, whether it be family or career! Hello all,
I enjoy reunions, especially something like this - where we all pretty much came from the same place. Then we all went out and had our different adventures and get to come back forty years later and trade stories. You can say things like the Freezer, or head for Jed’s, or the Ike-Davis game, or smudge pots, or Uncle Jimmy’s Clubhouse, or an adventure in an apple orchard, or swimming lessons at Franklin Park, or falling into Wide Hollow Creek. Everyone is on the same page and nods knowingly, and you don’t get any “what the hell is he goin’ on about†sort of looks.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing everyone.

What fun it is to read about all of you... i agree this is a great web site and a great way to communicate. The last reunion I attended was our 20th and I had a terrific timeand I do hope to make to this one.
History: Rod and I will celebrate our 35th anniversary in December it is hard to believe how quickly the time has passed. We were blessed with two wonderful children, Ben and Emily, who are now grown ... both college graduates and off on their own adventures.
No grandbabies yet but we are waiting. Rod retired two years ago and went back to school...he hasn't yet decided what he wants to be when he grows up. I am an art teacher at East Valley High School and I love it. Always a new challenge with todays teens (I wonder if that is what our teachers said about us?????) No wonder Mr. Naaz was always so happy he had the best job in the school :-) Hope so see in August/

Norm Elder where are you? I just found a letter from you that I got after the reunion in 1997. I have kept it along with your artwork. As I read it today the last paragraph hit home as I think about this reunion of 40 years.
You wrote: "It was so good to see all our mates. One must pause to wonder what each is like in the everyday world."
Norm, here is my answer today,
I think we all get through our everydays as best we can. Some days can be hell, painful, depressing, seemingly unbearable, frightening, and unending. Others are happy, hopeful, optomistic, full of unending possibilities and love. We all have sides to us that must be unpleasant and negative. Sides that we wouldn't want to tell the world.
The upside is we can come together this August, share our goodtimes and bad and lift each other up!
How is that for a lecture?
So everyone come!
Thanks for the singing invite Rick and Ellen, but some things are better left in the past.

Hello all. I still feel like I am in High School.........what is this 40 year stuff. Do I really have to accept the fact that I am 58? I attended the 35-year all school reunion and it was a blast. I got my all time best friend Carla Laughlin Smith to go to that one and I talked her into coming up to the 40th. I told her that if she didn't go, the next one would be the 50th and then we would really be old. We are looking forward to it. I am living in Portland, Oregon and have been married for 30 years to the same man! I have a stepson Chris, two daughters Sara and Rachel and a beautiful granddaughter Zoey, who is 17 months old. It is great to be a "Grandma". I am working in the Beaverton School District as a Para Educator in Special Education at Sunset High School. I will begin my 12 year in September. Can you see why I feel like I am still in High School? I am looking forward to seeing all my old buds. I still think about Brenda and Rick in "Funny Girl"..........hope you two will do a song or two for us. You guys rock. I would love to hear from anyone out there!!!!!

Isn't this web site terrific? They've done a great job putting together this site and a whole package waiting for us in Yakima! But this web site could be even better if each of you took just a minute or two to put your story in the Classmates section. Whether you are a company CEO or a lowly window blind installer we'll love you just the same. Come on - this will be our only "memory book" because there will not be a printed version this time. If you want help, just send me a message. I'd love to hear from you for any reason!
Looking forward to seeing you all real soon! - Jim

It has been fun putting this website together and trying to locate people through the internet. I look forward to spending a few hours with you at the reunion. Please be sure to make your entries into the "Classmates" section as well. Jim Hoggatt has been helping with Reveille photo identification and uploading old photos, if you'd like his assistance or mine. Thanks Jim. Good hearing from you Tom, Sally, Judi, Connie, Sue, Jim, Tim, Sheryl and the reunion committee. See you soon, Phil

Greetings everyone. We just finished another Reunion Committee meeting. Things are coming together nicely. We still need addresses however. Look over the Missing Addresses list and see if you can help. You can email me or anyone on the committee. Looking forward to August . . .

Well, Mr. Detective (Phil Glover) has found me alive and well at 1863 Ridgeview Dr., Roseville, CA 95661. I'm not sure I've ever been Googled before.
Time does fly. I didn't really feel "old" until my daughters turned 30 and finding an e-mail regarding my 40th High School reunion is a bit daunting on a Monday morning. I'm checking to see if Scotty can beam me back to Yakima in August.

I want to encourage everyone to come to the 40th reunion of the IKE class of 1967. We only have so many reunion opportuniites so let's make the most of this one. Hope to see you in Yakima on August 3rd and 4th. It should be a great time. Ken Marble is heading up the reunion effort with great long distance tech support from Phil Glover, local tech support from Dave Miller and basic support from Sandy Carr Perkins, Amy Matson McGuire and others. I've already heard from Tim Anderson, Mike McRae and Paige Arntson. See you in August!!
